THOMAS VERMAELEN OUT FOR SIX WEEKS

Barcelona have suffered another major injury blow after the potential long term injury to Samuel Umtiti, in the form of a biceps femoris injury to former Arsenal defender, Thomas Vermaelen. The veteran defender was chalked off in the 73th minute in a UEFA Nations League match against Switzerland.

Vermaelen To Get Opportunity Against Malaga

Barcelona are set to hand Thomas Vermaelen an opportunity against Malaga when they face them in the La Liga this weekend. Centre back Gerard Pique picked up a knock in the Catalan derby but he continued to play the games. The Spaniard is often seen clutching his knee in games but he claims he is fit.
